I’m available for private events, parties, celebrations, lounges, bars and other events where an open-format DJ fits the room. If you’re not sure whether your event is a match, send a booking inquiry and tell me what you have in mind.

The earlier the better, especially for weekends and special dates. Availability can change quickly, so submitting an inquiry early gives us the best chance to work something out.

No. The booking form is an inquiry only. Your event is not confirmed until the details are reviewed and you receive a direct confirmation from DJ Carlos Rivas.

Availability depends on the date, event type and location. Include the full venue or city in your booking inquiry so travel and setup requirements can be reviewed.

Absolutely. The booking form includes space for music preferences. You can share must-play songs, favorite genres and anything you want avoided so the music fits your event.

Equipment needs are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on the venue and event. Include as much information as possible in the inquiry so the setup can be discussed before the event is confirmed.

Use the Live section on the homepage. It links you to the current streaming destination so you can jump into the stream when I’m live.

Featured mixes are available directly from the homepage and are powered by Mixcloud. You’ll see salsa, freestyle, Latin and other mixes as new sets are added.

Yes. Registered community members can submit song requests and vote on requests from other members. It’s one of the ways the community can help shape future sets.

My music background comes from both Brooklyn and Puerto Rico. I grew up around salsa, freestyle, hip-hop, R&B, dance and New York Latin music, then developed a deeper connection to Puerto Rican and Caribbean sounds. Mixing those worlds together is part of what defines my style.

You can browse some community content without an account, but you’ll need a verified account to participate, submit requests, vote, contribute to Playlist Lab or join discussions.

Playlist Lab is a collaborative set-building feature. Members can create a set idea, suggest songs, explain why a track fits and vote on contributions. It’s designed so the community can build a set together.

Members can submit songs they’d like to hear and vote on requests from the community. Requests may be approved, played or declined through moderation depending on the stream, set or context.

Badges are earned from real community activity. Examples include creating Playlist Lab sets, contributing tracks, starting discussions and receiving votes on suggestions.

No. Your email address is private account information and is not displayed on your public member profile.

Yes. You can either choose one of the site’s custom DJ-themed avatars or upload your own supported profile image from your profile settings.

Email verification confirms that you own the address used for your account. It helps protect the community from fake accounts and gives you a secure way to recover access later.

Use the Forgot Password option on the login screen. You’ll receive a time-limited password-reset link at your verified email address.

Accounts may be suspended when necessary for community safety, abuse prevention or serious rule violations. A suspended account cannot sign in until it is reactivated by an administrator.

Every announcement email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also manage announcement emails from your profile settings. Turning announcements off does not affect important account-security emails.

Your display name, avatar or profile photo, bio, music interests, favorite genres, badges and community activity may appear publicly. Your email address and private admin information are never shown on your public profile.

My sets can move through salsa, freestyle, reggaeton, hip-hop, Latin, dance, house, R&B and throwbacks. I don’t like forcing music into one box—the goal is to follow the energy and make different worlds work together.

Growing up in Brooklyn, listening to my father’s DJ mixes and hearing music throughout the streets and block parties gave me my first musical foundation. Later, living in Puerto Rico deepened my connection to the culture and music there. Both places continue to shape how I mix today.
